It wasn’t even courage that put me on this path, but desperation.Â
Before I began practicing meditation and yoga philosophy I had a breakdown, but what I now know was a breakthrough.
I was living a life of what was supposed to have made me happy but I was only
growing more depressed.
One day I took two very big steps. Â
I left my marriage and dropped out of school.

X to find fulfillment by living what I call the “supposed-to” life—checking all the boxes: academia, career, marriage. I did everything I was told would bring me joy, yet I found myself miserable and confused.
X I followed the world’s script, believing it would lead to happiness, but instead, I felt more lost than ever.
X All I wanted to do was run. But instead of listening to how I truly felt, I buried it. Days turned into numb routines—sinking into the couch, pouring another glass of wine, and reaching for Valium. Anything to keep going, to avoid facing the truth.

I was petrified to stop, but I also couldn't keep going!
And that's when it hit me!
The solution wasn't in trying harder to fit into a life path that wasn't mine, but in creating a life that resonated with my true self. I embraced yoga philosophy, not just as a set of teachings, but as a practical guide to living. The teachings behind the stories. How things really worked.
